Ckay’s blockbuster song, “Love Nwantiti,” by Nigerian musician Ckay, has become the world’s most searched song on Shazam.
This is a significant success for Ckay, who dethroned Wizkid after his summer tune, Essence, became the most Shazamed song in the United States last month.
Shazam is a music and movie identification app that uses a sample to identify the music or movie. Shazam Entertainment, situated in London, was founded in 2018 and is now owned by Apple Inc. On the top 200 most-shazamed tracks in the world, Ckay was ranked ahead of Kid Laori, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, and Lil Nas by the music search app.
Ckay used his Instagram and Twitter accounts to inform his fans of the happy news. The felony vocalist penned the following:
“Number One Most Shazamed Song in the World- Love Nwantiti (ft. DJ Yo & Ax’el) We’re now practically global! “To the globe, emo-afrobeat”
The second single from Ckay The First is Love Nwantiti. In 2019, it was released, then in 2020, it was remixed with Joeboy and Kuami Eugene.
