Burna Boy, a Nigerian singer, has disclosed that the state government of Rivers did not pay him for his homecoming show in the state.
He explained that the N10 million was only given to artists who were asked to perform.
During Burna Boy’s homecoming ceremony, Wike vowed to give him a plot of land and N10 million as a token of his gratitude for winning the Grammy Awards.
However, the singer clarified the situation when reacting to a fan who chastised him for claiming that he does not make money in Nigeria.
Lol. I didn’t get a dime. Only the artists who honoured me by performing at my homecoming were paid. Get your facts right. https://t.co/9ip2SCjdGA
