Bracket, a Nigerian music duo, formally kicks out 2021 with the release of their new single “Let’s Go,” which features Rudeboy.
Bracket’s current single, “Let’s Go,” was produced by Jay Nunny, and Rudeboy is featured (Paul of P-square). The song “Let’s Go” is a follow-up to the music brothers’ last album, “Moving Train,” which was published in 2020 and featured Umu Obiligbo (Okpuozor & Akunwafor Obiligbo).
Obumneme Ali a.k.a. “Smash” and Nwachukwu Ozioko a.k.a. “Vast” form the Nigerian Afropop and R&B duo Bracket. Bracket began as a three-man band before one of the members, Bistop, left. The pair is now signed to Ape Planet and is best known for popular tracks like “Happy Day,” “Yori-Yori,” and “Ada Owerri,” all of which have garnered great reviews and airplay.
Vast and Smash grew raised in Nsukka, Enugu State, and used to go to campus performances as kids. Vast holds a certificate and a degree in mass communication from the Institute of Management Technology in Enugu and the University of Nigeria, respectively, and Smash holds a diploma in social work and a degree in psychology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Happy Day (2006), Least Expected (2009), Cupid Stories (2011), and Alive (2012) are the albums that have been released (2015).
